The Placer County Administrative Services Department Information Technology Divisions provide comprehensive information technology (IT) consulting services, including project planning and management for system implementations.  The Information Technology Divisions are also responsible for IT planning, implementing, administering, and maintaining the County’s data systems, including servers, data storage, firewall, and security systems, as well as administering and maintaining the radio, data, and voice networks.

Administrative Services Information Technology has continued to work closely with County executive management and customer departments to develop strategic approaches relating to mission critical information technology systems, the countywide radio, data, voice, and waste management monitoring networks, and 24-hour, easy-to-use, on-line services for county residents.

During the past year the department has implemented several mission critical projects that will provide a wide range of tools for our customer departments in management of key public safety, land use, and general government functions.  As we look to the future, we will continue to plan, expand, maintain, and improve the countywide IT infrastructure to meet the growing technology needs of county departments and the public.
