Information Technology: Enterprise Systems and Solutions Division

The Enterprise Systems and Solutions Division of Information Technology (IT) is located at 2986 Richardson Drive in the DeWitt Center in North Auburn. The division is managed by Michael Spak and has responsibility for Enterprise-class Systems and Solutions. The division consists of three teams.

The Enterprise Systems Team is responsible for the availability, administration, support, and maintenance of enterprise-wide Windows-based systems and solutions. This team provides technical support for the county’s networked business computing environment and manages the County’s email, web conferencing, remote access, and file service solutions. This team provides Windows system administration and manages an enterprise-class Storage Area Network (SAN) for the Windows environment. County departments may enter into a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with the Enterprise Systems Team to host and manage servers and associated storage within the County’s Primary Datacenter for their dedicated department-specific applications.

The Enterprise Web Team is responsible for the availability, administration, support, and maintenance of the County’s external Website and the County’s internal SharePoint or Intranet solution (iPlacer). This group partners with and supports technical staff in other County departments who provide content updates to the external website and to iPlacer. This team provides consultation assistance on solutions requiring web-enablement, SiteCore and SharePoint.

The Enterprise Resources Team is responsible for the availability, administration, support, and maintenance of the County’s ACORN (Automated County Online Resource Network) and PAS (Performance Accounting System) solution environments. This team provides Unix system administration and manages an enterprise-class SAN (Storage Area Network) for the Unix environment. Additionally, this team is responsible for Oracle database administration and offers database consultation services to County Departments.
