IT Division for Network Infrastructure, Telecommunications, Radio, and Media Services

The Information Technology (IT) Division for Network Infrastructure Services, Telecommunications Services, and Radio and Media Services, is managed by Jerry Gamez. This division has four responsibilities: Countywide data network systems, voice network systems, two-way radio systems, and media services.

The Network Infrastructure Services group is located at 11459 F Avenue in the DeWitt Center in North Auburn. IT Network Infrastructure Services is responsible for the administration, support, and maintenance of the Metropolitan Area Network, Wide Area Network, and Local Area Network, including switches, routers, CSU/DSUs, cable plant, and UPS maintenance. The Network Infrastructure Services group coordinates all new additions to the production and test data networks.

The IT Telecommunications Services group is located at 11459 F Avenue in the DeWitt Center in North Auburn. This group is responsible for the administration, support, and maintenance of the Voice Network, which includes 19 telephone switches, one centralized voice mail system, and one call accounting system. This group assists other County departments in defining and implementing their individual telecommunications needs.

The IT Radio Services group is located at 2809 Second Street in the DeWitt Center in North Auburn. IT Radio Services manages and maintains the Countywide Radio Network, the Mobile Data Network, and the Telemetry Network. In addition, this group supports the County's Public Safety Dispatch Centers (Auburn and Tahoe) and the Office of Emergency Services Centers.

The IT Media Services group is located at 2809 Second Street in the DeWitt Center in North Auburn. Media Services provides complete media solutions to all county departments using state of the art audio/visual technologies. In addition, this group provides production and post production service support for the Board of Supervisors’ bi-weekly meetings.
