Vendor Application Instructions

INSTRUCTIONS: This is Step One of a two-step process. Complete all applicable fields. Fields with an asterisk (*) are required. Using the table shown at right, provide the 3-digit classification codes for the products or services you are able to provide. When you are finished entering all fields, press 'Submit Application' (at the bottom of the application page).

Upon receipt of your application, detailed product/services lists pertaining to the general categories you selected will be mailed to you with additional instructions (Step Two). Failure to respond to the second step of this process will cause your application to be discarded.

After placement on the bidders' mailing list, a supplier's failure to respond to three (3) written solicitations will be understood by the County of Placer to indicate lack of interest and concurrence in the removal of the supplier's name from the bidders' mailing list. A supplier may maintain active status on the bidders' mailing list by submission of bid or notice in writing that you are unable to bid on a particular transaction but wish to remain on the active bidders' mailing list.

It is the responsibility of the vendor to notify Placer County Procurement immediately of any changes. This includes change of name, address or telephone number, changes in personnel listed on this application, and addition or deletion of items you are able to provide. All requests for changes in vendor's profile shall be submitted on company letterhead and signed by a member of the firm's administrative staff.

A local preference credit of 5% for Placer County businesses will be permitted when evaluating bids for supplies, equipment, material and services that are not part of a public project. In order to receive this preference vendors must complete an Affidavit of Eligibility for Placer County Local Vendor Preference. This form is available from the Procurement main web page.
