The Administrative Services Department's Procurement Services Division has received the prestigious Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award for 2007. Presented by the National Purchasing Institute, the award recognizes organizational excellence in public procurement and is granted to agencies who exemplify innovation, professionalism, productivity, and leadership in the profession. Jim Boggan, CPPO, Purchasing Manager for Placer County, was presented with the award at the 91st Annual California Association of Public Purchasing Officers Conference in Newport Beach, CA.
This is the fifth year in a row that Placer County has received the AEP award, proving the Procurement Division's commitment to fiscal efficiency while maintaining a high level of service to the taxpayers and the various County departments that they support while promoting a fair, competitve, and impartial environment for the County's vendor community. |
