Revenue Services Division

General Information:

Administrative Services Department/ Revenue Services Division provides professional billing and collection services to assist the public in fulfilling their financial obligations to Placer County, Superior Court and other entities Revenue Services represents.  It is our goal to maintain legal compliance with Government Codes and to provide the highest standards in our collections practice to accommodate every individual with integrity and professionalism.

If you are unable to pay your entire fine on the day of your court visit you must complete a Financial Evaluation Form that can be downloaded or completed on line.   For review and determination of your ability to pay and monthly payment agreements, please mail to our address above or fax to (916)543-3910.

Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT)

Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) is levied for the privilege of occupying a room or rooms or other living space in a hotel, inn, tourist home or house, motel or other lodging for a period of 30 days or less. TOT is authorized under State Revenue and Taxation Code Section 7280 and Placer County Ordinance 5006-B. The tax acts as an additional source of non-property tax revenue to local government. In Placer County this tax is levied at a rate of 10% and 8%, depending on the location of the rental unit.

Amnesty Program

Starting January 1, 2012 to June 30, 2012 California Superior Courts in all 58 counties are offering a 50 percent discount on qualifying unpaid traffic tickets. For a six month period the "Amnesty Program" is being made available statewide. More than 6 million cases may be eligible.
