Amnesty Program

Starting January 1, 2012 to June 30, 2012 California Superior Courts in all 58 counties are offering a 50 percent discount on qualifying unpaid traffic tickets. For a six month period the "Amnesty Program" is being made available statewide. More than 6 million cases may be eligible.
Only traffic tickets that were due to be paid before January 1, 2009, are eligible. Parking tickets, driving under the influence (DUI), reckless driving, and misdemeanor cases are NOT eligible under this program.
To qualify for the 50 percent discount, all of the following conditions must be met:
- You have an outstanding traffic or non-traffic infraction case that was due to be paid in full before January 1, 2009
- The last date you made a payment was on or before January 1, 2009
- You either failed to appear in court or failed to pay in full
- You do not owe restitution to a victim on any case within the county where the traffic case was filed
- You have no outstanding misdemeanor or felony warrants within the county where the traffic case was filed
The Eligibility Affidavit Form for the Amnesty Program is available as a Printable PDF file and can be downloaded on-line. Payments along with your signed Affidavit can be processed with the Placer County Revenue Services Division located at the following address:
