Air Pollution Control
The Air Pollution Control District (APCD) is a special district created by state law to enforce local, state and federal air pollution regulations. Our vision is to achieve and maintain clean air standards throughout Placer County. In April 2000, the Board of Directors adopted the APCD's Mission Statement.

On October 9, 2014, the Placer County Air Pollution Control District Board of Directors adopted Resolution #14-16, thereby approving amended Rule 610, Air Toxics “Hot Spots” Fees.
The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has released the draft “2014 Annual Monitoring Network Report for Small Districts in California” for a 30-day public inspection period ending on July 27, 2014. This draft Report describes the network of ambient air quality monitors in parts of California including the Placer County. The Report can be reviewed online at http://www.arb.ca.gov/aqd/amnr/amnr.htm.
A limited number of copies of the Report are available at the Visitor Center at the CARB’s headquarters at 1001 I Street, Sacramento.
