
The Air Pollution Control District (APCD) is a special district created by state law to enforce local, state and federal air pollution regulations. The APCD Board of Directors appoints the Hearing Board. In April 2000, the Board of Directors adopted the APCD's Mission Statement.

- The Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District (SMAQMD) will hold a public hearing to receive comments and adopt the “2013 Revisions to the Sacramento Regional 8-Hour Ozone Attainment and Reasonable Further Progress Plan” (Plan). The public hearing notice, revised plan, and its associated appendices can be found from the SMAQMD website. Link

- Video Presentation on Woody Biomass
The District has been involved in many projects involving biomass to energy. The link provided below is to a presentation given by Tom Christofk, the District's Air Pollution Control Officer. It was given at a conference hosted by UC Berkeley on December 14, 2012. The video provides a good synopsis of some of the District's efforts have been, and are, in biomass related issues.
