The Placer County Charter Review Committee announces two public meetings regarding their current review of the county charter.

BACKGROUND: The Placer County Board of Supervisors has convened a Charter Review Committee to review the county charter and make recommendation for amendments to or revisions of the charter. Section 601 of the charter requires at least two public hearings by the committee prior to submission of its recommendations to the Board of Supervisors.
The committee hereby schedules public hearings as set forth in this notice and invites the public to attend to discuss and provide input to the committee on possible changes or additions to the county charter.
AREAS OF REVIEW: The Board of Supervisors has requested the committee review and provide recommendations on consolidation of county offices including the financial offices of the county and whether such consolidated offices are headed by an appointed or elected official. The committee is also reviewing section 207 of the county charter that establishes a fixed amount of compensation for members of the Board of Supervisors. The public is invited and encouraged to attend the hearings to provide input to the committee on these topics and other changes or additions to the county charter.
