Placer County locations have been represented in Hollywood films since 1925 with well known titles such as “Greed,” Charlie Chaplin’s “The Gold Rush,” “A Place in the Sun,” “Godfather II,” “Phenomenon,” “Almost Famous” and “XXX,” as well as a multitude of TV shows and commercials including a 2006 Super Bowl commercial starring Kermit the Frog in a Ford Escape Hybrid.
Finding the perfect location starts early in pre-production. Film commissions often get the first calls, or their location photography libraries are perused, for just the right look.
