Purpose and Bylaws

As required by state law, Placer County has formed a Local Community Benefit Committee
(LCBC) to distribute funds from the Indian Gaming Distribution Fund in the form of grants to
local government agencies within the county affected by tribal gaming. The grants are to help
fund local government agency projects to offset the impacts associated with tribal gaming.
The committee's bylaws are available as a Web document, and as a PDF document.

To read a PDF document, you need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader PDF software on your
computer. If you don't have it installed, you may download it from the Adobe website. Adobe
provides detailed instructions on downloading and installing its free PDF reader.

Committee contacts in the County Executive Office are Senior Management Analyst Michael
Paddock, or Barbie Herdal, 530-889-4030.

Meetings

The committee will meet at least twice a year to consider grant proposals and suggest grant
recipients. The committee may vote to hold additional meetings, if necessary.
