Placer County Services Available At Lake Tahoe
|
The Lake Tahoe portion of Placer County is separated from the county seat in Auburn by 82 miles and the formidable 7,239 foot elevation Donner Summit. However, many of the same governmental services are provided on the North Shore as are provided on the West Slope. In fact, some specialized services provided at North Lake Tahoe are unique in the county. Measured in the number of miles of roadway cleared, Placer County operates the second largest snow removal system in the state of California. And the Placer County Community Development Resources Agency staff is highly trained to adhere to some of the nation’s most stringent environmental review standards as required by the bi-state Tahoe Regional Planning Agency.
