Website Information

Placer County uses its Web site to give convenient access to county information and services for county residents and customers. New information and services are added frequently.

The county site was originally launched in May, 1997, with information about every county department on roughly 100 Web pages. There are now over 3,000 pages of information and services available

Accessibility

The site is designed to be accessible to Web visitors with disabilities, and available to all Web visitors, regardless of the age of their equipment or software, or the speed of their Internet connection. For example, you may notice we minimize the use of graphics and photos, and provide descriptions of them when they are included.

We also make very limited use of Java scripts, Flash, and other multi-media technologies, and only when they provide information which can't be presented effectively in text or with simple graphics or images.
