Brook Avenue Free Public Parking
In January 2000, the Placer County Board of Supervisors approved the initiation of the Kings Beach Commercial Core Improvement Project. The Agency made a commitment to deliver critical parking lots needed to ease current and future parking space shortages. On April 19, 2003, the Agency purchased the Brook Avenue Lot. Construction on the 20-space free public parking lot was completed in September 2005. The lot was also designed to address TRPA's Best Management Practices (BMPs) with environmentally sensitive drainage provisions screened with a dry ditch. Financing for the project was provided by the Agency and the State of California Infrastructure and Economic Development Bank. |
