Minnow Avenue Free Public Parking

| In January 2000, the Placer County Board of Supervisors approved the initiation of the Kings Beach Commercial Core Improvement Project. The Agency made a commitment to deliver critical parking lots needed to ease current and future parking space shortages along the commercial corridor. On March 31, 2005, the Agency purchased the Minnow Avenue Lot. The lot was also designed to address TRPA’s Best Management Practices (BMPs) with environmentally sensitive drainage provisions including areas of pervious concrete. Financing for the project was provided by the Agency and the State of California Infrastructureand Economic Development Bank. Construction was completed and opened on 10-22-07. |
