Community Development Resource Agency

May 2, 2008 Realty Association - " Development in Placer County " Presentation (PDF, 4mb)

What is CDRA?
The Community Development Resource Agency (CDRA) is the agency which combines many Placer County land development functions. It includes the Planning, Building, and Engineering & Surveying Departments, as well as Environmental Coordination Services. CDRA also coordinates work with Environmental Health, Public Works, the Air Pollution Control District, and Redevelopment. There is also a CDRA office in the Tahoe City area (Senior Staff contact information).

CDRA is the first stop for land development projects of all sizes, from a/upload/cdr/images/p1010110.jpg single-family home to a large development. An overall process flowchart (pdf and Word 2003 formats) is available, and additional resources can be found on each of the above department's web pages.

The Agency's charter is to improve the review process for development projects proposed in unincorporated areas. The County goal is to continue improving customer service by providing more centralized leadership, consistency, and coordination in the review process.
