Daily Inspection Sequence List

Daily Inspection Sequence List Instructions

In an effort to allow contractors and homeowners the opportunity to estimate a two hour window of time when their inspector may arrive to perform the inspection, the On-Line Daily Inspection Sequence List has been developed. While it is the responsibility of the person scheduling the inspection to ensure that someone is at the project site when the inspector arrives, we understand the value of your time and are trying to be as efficient and time considerate as possible. The example below is not a guaranteed window of time, but may assist in estimating the Time of Arrival (ETA) for the inspector.

 TIME OF DAY

8:00am-10:00am

10:00am-12:00pm

12:00pm-2:00pm

INSPECTION SEQUENCE NUMBER

1 - 4

5 - 8

9 - 13

EXAMPLE:
If an inspector has a total of 12 inspections and your inspection sequence is 10, then reasonably
the ETA from the schedule above should be sometime between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM.

Disclaimer: This is only a very general Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) and the Placer County Building Division does not guarantee any specific time or time frame. The ETA will vary based on work load (office & field), travel, location and complexity of the inspections for a given day. Inspections are canceled throughout the day and this also affects the inspectors ETA. Lunch & coffee breaks should also be considered when estimating the inspector’s ETA. Although every effort is made to provide complete and accurate information on this website, users are advised to contact appropriate Community Development Resource Agency (CDRA) staff before making project decisions. This may involve contacting more than one department/division within CDRA (e.g. Building, Planning, Environmental Health, Air pollution, Engineering & Surveying, etc.), since each department/division implements specific codes or ordinances which may affect your project.
