The Engineering and Surveying Division (ESD) provides review and oversight for private land development projects within the unincorporated areas of Placer County, including:
- Engineering project review in concert with discretionary land use permit applications
- Corner Record Information
- Plan review of civil site improvement plans for infrastructure design
- Inspection during project infrastructure construction
- Mapping services associated with land division and records of survey
- Grading permit review and issuance
- Grading and drainage complaint investigation
- Road name and address assignment
- Transportation Permit administration
- Surface Mining (SMARA) review and enforcement
