Request for Flood Zone Information

If you have learned that you are required to obtain flood insurance, or if you are not sure if your property is located in a one hundred year flood plain, you may request a written determination from the Engineering and Surveying Department. You will need to complete the "Flood Zone Information Request Form" and submit it to Janelle Fortner, Floodplain Manager, at the Placer County Engineering and Surveying Department, located at 3091 County Center Drive, Auburn, CA 95603. You can also complete the Request Form and email it to the Floodplain Manager at jfortner@placer.ca.gov.

If you wish to make a determination for yourself, you can look at flood maps available on the FEMA website , or you can view FEMA flood hazard maps at the Placer County Engineering and Surveying Department.
