The Engineering and Surveying Department relies on the requirements included in the Placer County Land Development Manual (LDM) adopted for the purpose of establishing minimum standards for the design and construction of development improvements.

Note that references to the Department of Public Works (DPW) within the text of the LDM Sections below implies the Engineering and Surveying Department (ESD), due to the reorganization approved by the Board of Supervisors for the Community Development Resource Agency in 2006.

Standard Design Detail Plates referenced in the LDM were updated in 2005; please use List of Plates to cross-reference current plate numbers that appear in the text of the LDM Sections.
