Transportation Permits

Placer County has the discretionary authority to issue permits for the movement of vehicles/loads exceeding statutory limitations on the length, width, height, and weight of vehicles as contained in Division 15 of the California Vehicle Code.

Requests for these special permits require completion of an application for a Transportation Permit. The Engineering and Surveying Division is responsible for the administration of the Transportation Permit Program on County maintained roads on behalf of the Department of Public Works.
