North Fork American River Trail

The proposed project is a natural surface multiple-use trail proposed by Placer County for construction along the North Fork of the American River within the Auburn State Recreation Area (SRA). The beginning of the proposed trail alignment is located near the confluence of the North and Middle Forks of the American River, approximately 3 miles northeast of Auburn near Foresthill Road. The trail ends at the Ponderosa Bridge, approximately 14.2 miles upstream and 5 miles west of Foresthill and southeast of Weimar.
