Rio Oso Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant
The applicant (SunPower Corporation) proposes to construct and operate a 220
‐
megawatt (MW) solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant and associated infrastructure.
PROJECT LOCATION:
The project would be constructed on two separate properties in southwestern Placer County. The properties are currently used for agricultural purposes (primarily rice) and total approximately 1,905 acres; the project would develop approximately 1,377 acres, with the remaining 528 acres used for buffering, open space, or drainage.
