Sewer Maintenance District 3 Regional Sewer Project
The project consists of decommissioning the existing SMD 3 wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) and constructing a pump station and force main to convey wastewater to the SMD 2 collection system for treatment at the City of Roseville Dry Creek WWTP. The goal of the project is to bring the SMD 3 system into compliance with waste discharge requirements (WDR) issued by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVWQCB) on June 22, 2007.
The project area includes the SMD 3 WWTP located at 4928 Auburn-Folsom Road (APN 036-110-011-000) in the unincorporated town of Loomis and alignment of the approximately 4.4-mile sewer forcemain that would extend south, generally along Auburn-Folsom Road from the WWTP to Joe Rodger's Road where it would terminate near the intersection with Dover Drive in Placer County.
It has been determined that an Environmental Assessment (EA) will be prepared for NEPA compliance and an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) will be prepared for CEQA compliance.
