Technical Reports
Several new reports regarding technical issues have been posted to this website that deal with the proposed Biomass Facility in the Lake Tahoe Region. First, the Air/Water Emissions and Carbon Credits/Emissions Offsets Report is available. The information in this Report identifies the projected air and water emissions from the bioenergy facility which will be offset to conform to air quality and water quality regulations. Specific technology and total emissions are analyzed should a facility be built in the Lake Tahoe region.
Placer County recently won a $150,000 grant to develop a Facility Design and Technology Integration Plan for the proposed Cabin Creek biomass facility (see the "Grant Narrative").
The second report is the "Logistics Study of a Biomass Facility." This report summarizes the logistics lifecycle for a small biomass facility in the Lake Tahoe Region. Variables such as product processing, transportation methods, onsite/offsite storage requirements and emission factors are discussed.
