GBMAC Subcommittee/Working Group 
The Planning Department provided an update on the Granite Bay Community Plan review to the Board of Supervisors in April 2010 and discussed several options or alternatives to keep the planning process moving forward. At their budget workshop held on August 19, 2010, the Board of Supervisors directed staff to proceed with an update to the 1989 Granite Bay Community Plan without considering changes to land use. Only the policy document will be updated at this time. The Planning Department received a total of 284 policy change requests focused on housing, land use, community design, natural resources, air quality, public facilities, transportation and utilities. Staff will continue its public outreach efforts through the Granite Bay MAC and recently established Granite Bay MAC Subcommittee/Working Group during the Plan’s update.
The GBMAC Subcommittee/Working Group started meeting in December, prior to the regularly scheduled Granite Bay MAC meeting, to discuss changes to the Plan’s policy document. The GBMAC Subcommittee/Working Group consists of two MAC members, County staff, and any interested landowner or member of the community who would like to take part in these discussions.
