Public Outreach
Placer County continues its effort to update the Community/General Plans in the Tahoe Basin with its launch of a public outreach strategy geared towards engaging the North Lake Tahoe community in the Community Plan Update process. The County has formed community working groups referred to as “Plan Area Teams” to help draft Vision Statements (see below), zoning, development standards and design guidelines for each Plan Area within the Community Plan boundary. The Plan Area Teams have begun visioning and addressing land use and scale within each Plan Area.
Community Workshops
The Community Workshops are held on the second Wednesday of each month. The location varies monthly between Kings Beach and Tahoe City. The public is encouraged to attend these workshops to observe the Plan Area Teams' efforts in the planning process. Crystal Jacobsen, the project manager leading this effort, provides a presentation before each workshop, along with a question and answer period.
