DeWitt Government Center Facility Plan (2003 - 2010)

Section of artist's rendition of new county land development building Placer County is planning for the future by preparing a detailed plan for the DeWitt Government Center. Home to the majority of county departments, the DeWitt Center currently is a mix of new and aging buildings. The old buildings and their maintenance costs hamper county customer service and development of new services.

The plan for the DeWitt Government Center includes construction of two new office buildings, new emergency shelter facilities, and demolition of 24 existing structures.

We'll provide more information on the plan as it becomes available.

The county has completed a draft Environmental Impact Report on the proposed DeWitt plan. While the formal comment period on the Draft EIR has ended, the department would welcome your informal comments on the plan. Send them to:
