About the Sewer Fee Increase

On May 12, 2009, a public hearing was held by the Board of Supervisors and the proposed sewer user fee increase was approved for the following sewer maintenance districts (SMDs) and County service areas (CSAs) managed by Placer County, including a proposed water user fee increase for the Sheridan area:

• SMD 1 (North Auburn, Christian Valley, Winchester, Bowman) 
• Septic Tank Effluent Systems in SMD 1
• SMD 3 (Horseshoe Bar Road Area)
• Septic Tank Effluent Systems in SMD 3
• CSA 2A3 (Sunset Sewer)
• CSA 6 (Sheridan Sewer and Water)
• CSA 23 ( Blue Canyon Sewer)
• CSA 24 (Applegate Sewer)
• CSA 55 (Livoti Sewer)

On or about March 3, 2009, approximately 6,000 letters were mailed to all affected customers regarding the public hearing and the proposed fee increase. Additional information regarding the proposed fee increase is available by clicking the link(s) listed below.
