Sheridan Water Supply Improvement Project
Project Description: The proposed project consists
of a new well, storage tank, and pump station to improve the water
supply and storage capacity of the existing water supply system.
The project is required by the state of California to comply with
the revised Maximum Day Demand set forth in the Water Code
Requirements (Section 64454). In addition, new or upgraded
pipelines will be installed to provide additional fire flow
capacity to the elementary school.
Project Location: County-owned parcel (0.45
acres) in the community of Sheridan, located west of Stuart Hall
and the Sheridan Community Park.
Status: The project is currently in the design and
environmental review phase. The Mitigated Negative Declaration was
distributed for public review from February 29, 2012 - March 30,
2012. The environmental document for this project can be found
here. Board approval is anticipated summer of 2012 with
construction to begin shortly thereafter.
