Placer County welcomes residents and guests to its many parks and beaches, like those listed below. The county also plans for future recreational needs, by acquiring lands like Spears Ranch, at the right. See below for additional information about this land.


Information on Proposed North Fork American River Trail

Placer County’s Parks and Grounds Division operates and maintains several local and community parks, trails, and some open space areas.

These beaches are maintained by the Tahoe City Public Utilities District under contract to Placer County. For information, please call the District at (530) 583-3796.
