The soccer filed at Squaw Valley Park has proved very popular and it is  intended that everyone is welcome and should have the ability to use the field most any time.

Despite reserved time slots, all participants have agreed to share the field, as much as possible, with anyone wishing to play. The only exception is if there is a refereed game in progress. Do not hesitate to ask those using the field if you can share. Please report any problems or concerns to John Ramirez, County Parks Administrator at (530) 889-6807. If you have any concerns in the evenings or on the weekend you can contact Ed Heneveld at (530) 583-1817

The soccer field will be held as open to the public for "pick-up games" Mon-Fri, before 9:00 am, from noon to 1:00 pm, and from 3:00 - 4:00 pm. Saturdays are open every afternoon and Sundays before noon. In other words, there will be no reservations taken during these time periods. The park closes at dark.

Field use fee is $2.00 per hour for non-profit leagues, $5.00 per hour for the general public, $15.00 per hour for schools and $45.00 per hour for Commercial use per field.  No refunds are granted for cancellations.  During any unreserved time periods(s), the field shall be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The field shall not be used within 24 hours of rain without first checking with the Parks Division at  (530) 886-4900.  Fields shall not be used when soggy field conditions exist.  Any damage done to the fields as a result of use shall be the responsibility of the user to repair, or the user will need to pay Placer County's cost to make the repair as determined by the County.  However, if our Parks crew needs to perform maintenance work, you may be asked to leave the field.

Groups wishing to provide additional recreational opportunities for their guests (such as booths, dunk tank, stages, etc.) must provide the County with a written request at least 30 days prior to the date of the event.  The request should include the date of the event, size of the group, a map showing the location of booths and activities, along with a list of the types of booths and activities.  Utilizing this information, the County may then determine the appropriateness of booth and activity locations, amount of liability insurance, and the Deposit required.
