Computer Acceptable Use Policy

POLICIES FOR PATRON USE OF THE
INTERNET WORKSTATION

  1. The Internet workstations are available during library open hours.
  2. The user must have an Placer County Library card in good standing.
  3. There are no age restrictions on the use of the Internet. Parents are responsible for supervising their children's Internet use.
  4. Reservations may be made by phone or in person. Workstations can be reserved for one hour use. If the scheduled user is more than fifteen minutes late, the workstation will be made available to other users.
  5. Only library provided diskettes can be used to download saved material from the Internet (FTP). Your diskette must be left at the circulation desk if you want to use it again in the library. Diskettes can be purchased from the library for $1.00 each.
  6. Printing cost is 15 cents per page.
  7. Internet use privileges may be revoked if the patron misuses the hardware or software.
  8. Please inform staff when you are finished using the workstation.
