Placer County is represented in the California Libraries Catalog. This is a statewide database project sponsored by the California State Library. Customers can make Interlibrary Loan requests via the California Libraries Catalog. To access this catalog you need a Placer County Library Card. If you can find a title you need, you can submit an electronic Interlibrary Loan request, which will be processed by the Library. Please note that there is a $3.00 fee for processing an Interlibrary Loan request. For now, holdings are limited to the members of the Mountain-Valley Library System, a nine-county resource sharing cooperative of which Placer County Library is a member. If you only want to view the holdings of regional libraries, but not make an Interlibrary Loan request, a good place to start is the Sacramento Public Library catalog, which also has holdings information for Colusa County, Folsom, Sutter County and Woodland. Their shared catalog is at http://www.saclibrarycatalog.org/search. Sacramento Public Library also provides links to other library catalogs, including academic libraries and the California State Library at http://www.saclibrarycatalog.org:211/screens/z39menu.html.
