Tuesday, July 8, 3:30 - 5:00, Teen Advisory Board (TAB) at the Auburn Library Join TAB (see below) and help plan the Teen Mystery Party and the "Dying for Breaking Dawn Release Party"!  TAB members get their first pick in the suspect roles for the Teen Mystery Party.


Teen Mystery Party


Thursday July 24th, 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. at Auburn Library. Interactive

The music librarian has been found dead! Was it a heart attack or … murder? Join other teen detectives in solving the mystery. You must investigate the crime scene and fully examine the evidence in order to solve the crime.

Join your fellow detectives in solving the mystery Rock n’ Roll Over. Detectives must be in grade 6 or older to participate. Free build your own ice cream sundaes will be served.

BREAKING DAWN

 

August 1, 3:00-5:00 p.m. Auburn.

Dying for Breaking Dawn Release Party. Ages 12-18.

Saturday, August 2, 2008, Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, will release the most anticipated novel of the year — Breaking Dawn, the fourth and final book in Stephenie Meyer's #1 international bestselling Twilight Saga. We invite teen fans from all over Placer County to join us at the Auburn Library on August 1st at 3:00pm for a "Dying for Breaking Dawn Release Party"!

Think you know everything there is to know about the series? Play Twilight Series Trivia and prove it! Are you more like Bella or Alice? Edward or Jacob? Take a personality test and find out. Come dressed in your best vampire or goth attire to participate in our costume contest! We’ll have other games and activities, plus deadly delicious snacks, blood red punch, and a chance to be the first person to check out Breaking Dawn from the Library!


These teen programs are brought to you by the Placer County Library Teen Advisory Board and are generously sponsored by the Friends of the Auburn Library.

6th to 12th graders are invited to learn leadership skills while planning future programs and suggesting titles for the Library to buy.  Call (530) 886-4511 for additional information.
  • Teens are invited to help plan programs and suggest books and media for Libraries.
  • Meet other teens and share your favorites books, music and movies.
  • Talk about your favorite characters and stories.
  • Share your own poems, stories, and artwork.
  • Suggest teen titles for the Library to buy.
  • Help plan future programs.
  • Earn school community hours – bring your form.
