The Adult Court Services division has one primary function. Officers conduct pre-sentence investigations and write sentencing recommendations to the courts on all felony cases and a smaller number of misdemeanor cases.
Additionally, several officers in this division are assigned to supervise probationers under the Adult Drug Court Program and/or those probationers who are sentenced under the guildlines of Proposition 36 (1210 PC) drug treatment programs.
