Penryn Library Grand Re-Opening
Thanks to a California Library Services and Technology Act grant, Penryn Library was able to reimagine what rural library service could look like. Come and explore our newly reconfigured library space, complete with mobile shelving, a flexible floor, and a large Express (high demand titles) collection. Tuesday, June 2, from 2:30-4:30 p.m. at the Penryn Library.
Penryn Library Hours
Penryn Library is open at 7:00 a.m., Wednesdays & Fridays. Great for early morning commuters, students, parents & early risers! Thanks to a grant from the California State Library, Penryn Library is now housing only High-interest, High-demand items. Penryn's New Hours.
The Auburn Library has Reopened!
Check out the snazzy new flooring in the Auburn Library and check out some books, magazines, movies, and audiobooks at the same time! Almost 16,000 square feet of new flooring was installed to replace carpeting and linoleum that were in bad shape after 21 years of high-traffic use. County capital improvements funds were used to pay for the new flooring. No library operational funds were used. Read all about it in this Placer County news release.

New Library Catalog

Zip Books 2014/15 comes to a close
Thank you to all of our library customers and staff who helped make Zip Books a success. And enormous thanks to the California State Library for funding this great program for 2 years running. For those who missed it, here are the details: Zip With Us . Please stay tuned to find out if the Zip Books program continues.
Beginning Jan. 26, 2015, the Auburn and Rocklin branches of the Library will temporarily be closed on Mondays and the Loomis branch will be open eight fewer hours each week. Read the news release here.
