As of May, 2005, the Placer County Jail will be operating inmate visiting from their new visitation center located on Atwood Rd.

7:30 AM - 10:30 AM
12:30 PM - 3:30 PM
5:30 PM - 6:30 PM
7:30 PM - 10:45 PM
Professional visitors need to be checked in 15 minutes before end of visiting session.

Public Visitation Schedule |

You must know the inmate’s housing assignment to determine visiting days and times. Telephone (530) 745-8500 to obtain this information.

Individual inmate’s visits are one-half hour in length.

Each inmate is allowed two visits per week but may not be taken on the same day. The visiting week begins on Saturday.

You must check in at the Visitation at least 30 minutes prior to the time of visit.

Inmates may have no more than two visitors per half-hour. The visiting time will be split between the visitors; they may not visit together.
- Visitors under the age of 18 will not be allowed, except for children of the inmate. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Visitors must have valid identification (listed below). Any other type of I.D. must be approved by the Shift Sgt.:

All visitors will be fully clothed. Shoes must be worn. Halter Tops, bathing suits, short shorts, mini-skirts, or any type of revealing attire will not be permitted.
Loud, boisterous and rude language will not be tolerated during the visit.
If required by Sheriff’s personnel, visitors may be subject to search of their persons and immediated property at any time, while on the premises of this facilty. Refusal to submit to search will prohibit or terminate visiting priveleges.
