Placer County Sheriff's Department

The Placer County Sheriff Department's Information Technology (IT) Unit is responsible for providing twenty-four hour a day maintenance and support for over 500 network users throughout the Sheriff's Department as well as providing application support to other Placer County law enforcement agencies. The IT Unit is responsible for the maintenance and support of over forty (40) Sheriff's Department computerized systems including: The Integrated Public Safety System (Computer Aided Dispatch, Corrections Management System, Records Management System, County-wide CLETS Access, Video Mugshot System, Mobile Data Computing, Justice Data Link, CAD Activity Reporting System, and Geographic Presentation Analysis), County-wide Livescan Fingerprint Systems, and County-wide Megan's Law Systems to name just a few.

As well as providing the maintenance and support of the software applications, the IT Unit continues to maintain and support nearly 300 PC Workstations, associated printers, over 40 Mobile Data Computers and over 40 remote PC Workstations (Remote Citrix users, Colfax Substation, Special Investigation Unit, Placer County Schools, Kings Beach Service Center, Foresthill Service Center, and Granite Bay Service Center).
