Payment Options

The Tax Collector is pleased to offer several different payment options to the public.

Credit/Debit Cards: We contract with a third party vendor to offer this service to the public. A convenience fee of 2.6% will be added to your payment if you choose this option. This fee is charged by our vendor for providing the service. No additional monies are paid to the County.
EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer):  We contract with a third party vendor to offer this service to the public.  You will need your bank routing and account number to complete this transaction.  There is a $1.50 fee for this service.
US Mail: You may always pay your taxes via US Mail. You must have your payment US post marked on or before the due date. You may do this at the Post Office by having them hand cancel your envelope at the counter. Do not rely on a mail receptacle as your guarantee that the payment is postmarked on time.

V-check: A no cost, internet based option. A form is filled out on a secure web server with your checking account information and payment is made on your behalf. No fee is charged for this service.
Drop Box:  For your convenience, we offer a drop box service in front of our building at 2976 Richardson Drive, Auburn, CA to place your payment.  Please note:  if you drop your payment in the box after 5 p.m., on the day prior to the bill becoming delinquent, the payment will be considered late and penalties/fees will be assessed.  Please - no cash payments!
Front Counter: As always, we are happy to accept your payment in person, at our front counter at 2976 Richardson Drive, Auburn CA. Our office is open Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. except for major holidays.
