There are no charges by the Placer County Tax Collector for processing the payment transaction. Our third party vendor will, however, charge a convenience fee. The fee is 2.6% of the total amount of your transaction. You will be informed of all charges and fees before you authorize the payment. This fee is in addition to any charges, such as interest, that may be assessed by your credit card issuer.
Note: EFT and Credit/Debit payments will not show paid on the web site for approximately 2-4 days. The delay is due to the actual processing time of funds from the respective bank or credit card company to our bank. Upon receipt of funds payments are posted reflecting the date you actually paid.
