Board of Directors

Board of Directors: Effective March 1, 1994, the composition of the Board of Directors shall be:
  • One (1) member from each City and Town Council in the County,
  • Two (2) members from the County Board of Supervisors and
  • One (1) member selected at-large by the County Board of Supervisors.

The term shall be one year for each City and Town Council representative, and two (2) years for each County Supervisor and the Member At Large. The District is governed by a nine person Board. Members include a representative from each of the six incorporated cities in Placer County, two representatives from the Placer County Board of Supervisors and one at-large member appointed by the Board of Supervisors. The District Board meets the second Monday of each month at 4:00pm in the Rocklin City Chambers at 3970 Rocklin Road in Rocklin.

 Click here for  Agendas and Minutes The Cities, the County and the District have adopted a formal coordination agreement to identify responsibilities.  The District relies on two other committees as resources for information and guidance:

  • The Policy Advisory Committee (PAC) has seven voting members -The Policy Advisory Committee meets as needed and is comprised of the six City Managers of the incorporated Cities, the County Executive Officer, each of the jurisdictions, the Chief Executive Officer of Placer County, and Placer County's Director of Public Works.  The PAC provides guidance on policy and program issues that affect all jurisdictions.
  • The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) has fifteen members, including one representative from each of the six cities including members from Placer County, the Cities of Auburn, Colfax, Loomis, Lincoln, Rocklin, Roseville, Placer County Resource Conservation District, South Sutter Water District, Placer County Water Agency, Sacramento County, Nevada Irrigation District, Sutter County Water District, Reclamation District 1001 and Placer County Flood Control and Water Conservation District (Chair).  The TAC is relied on for technical analysis and interpretation of ideas, policies, and programs.

These committees provide opportunities to discuss standards, policies and programs to recommend to the District Board. The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) meets regularly on the first Thursday of the month from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Placer County Community Development Resource Center, 3091 County Center Drive, in Auburn. The public is welcome at all District meetings.
