Auburn Bowman Flood Control Plan
Placer County produced this plan in 1992 to study the potential for existing and future flooding along streams in the area. The Auburn/Bowman area covers approximately 41.5 square miles and is contained within six different watersheds including the Bear River, Orr Creek, Day Creek (includes Rock Creek), Auburn Ravine, Mormon Ravine, Dutch Ravine and the American River (North Fork). The plan identifies flooding problems, makes specific recommendations to address them and develops a funding mechanism to implement the recommendations. This plan is available for purchase from the District's offices located at
3091 County Center Drive, Auburn CA 95603. A map of the watershed area is
here.
