Dry Creek Watershed Flood Control Plan

The purpose of the Dry Creek Watershed Flood Control Plan is to provide the District and other governmental agencies in both Placer and Sacramento Counties with the information and policies necessary to manage flood waters within the Dry Creek Watershed. The watershed comprises approximately 116 square miles, with the Dry Creek tributaries generally flowing southward through Rocklin, Loomis, the Granite Bay area of Placer County and the Orangevale area of Sacramento County.  The major tributaries of Miners Ravine, Secret Ravine, LInda Creek and Antelope Creek combine to form Dry Creek in the Downtown Roseville area.  The Plan evaluates existing flooding problems and identifies flood management options as well as a funding mechanism to achieve Plan recommendations. A significant update to this Plan was completed in 2011 by the District. A link to the Dry Creek Watershed Flood Control Plan is found here
