Flood Response Handbook (FRH)

The District's FRH addresses emergency communication procedures, emergency material supplies and equipment availability, technical resources and data to help predict flooding events, and State level emergency operations manuals. The FRH also contains countywide, GIS based, Flood Hazard Awareness Mapping including areas of known flooding, locations of critical facilities such as police and fire stations, government centers, schools, nursing homes and hospitals. Roads subject to flooding closures/damage and preferred evacuation routes are also identified. This mapping is also posted at the County's Emergency Operations Center (EOC), and distributed to our member agencies. Copies of the flood response handbook are distributed to Board Directors upon request. Copies are also distributed to emergency responder staff within each of our member agencies.
