Dry Creek Watershed Flood Control Plan

The purpose of the Dry Creek Watershed Flood Control Plan is to provide the District and other governmental agencies in both Placer and Sacramento Counties with the information and policies necessary to manage flood waters within the Dry Creek Watershed. The Plan evaluates existing flooding problems and identifies flood management options as well as a funding mechanism to achieve Plan recommendations. The National Weather Service (NWS) website provides state of the art weather, hydrologic, climate forcasts, and flood warning/alerts.

Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)

Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is the federal agency charged with managing the National Flood Insurance Program and as such maintains official floodplain mapping information across Placer County. Floodplain delineations can be found on FEMA's Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) which are available for download and purchase at the following link: http://www.fema.gov/.
