• Sidewalks, curbs and gutters, bicycle lanes, and crosswalks.
• Landscaping and lighting.
• Reconfigure roadway and intersections and install either traffic signals or roundabouts.
• Provide for on-street parking or off-street parking lots to maintain the existing number of parking spaces.
• Upgrade drainage system to improve storm water quality before it runs off into Lake Tahoe.

Placer County Department of Public Works released a draft Environmental Impact Report that provides four alternatives for improving a 1.1-mile stretch of Highway 28 in Kings Beach, which runs through the center of the north Lake Tahoe community. Below are all the documents that have been prepared for the project including the environmental document (EA/EIR/EIS) which includes 3 volumes of associated technical studies, the project report, conceptual drawings, and photo simulations.
