Placer Commuter Express
Capitol Corridor/PCE Cross Ticketing
Beginning April 1, 2009, commuters will be required to present a “Step-Up Coupon” if using a Placer Commuter Express monthly pass to ride the Capitol Corridor train or thruway bus between Sacramento, Roseville, Rocklin and Auburn. Recent fare increases have caused a considerable difference in the cost of Capitol Corridor and Placer Commuter Express monthly passes. In an effort to compensate for the difference, the “Step-Up Coupon” will work in conjunction with the Placer Commuter Express monthly pass. The “Step-Up Coupon” books include twenty single-ride tickets and will be priced as follows:
Colfax/Clipper Gap: N/A
Auburn/Penryn/Loomis: $16.50
Rocklin/Roseville: $9.50
“Step-Up Coupon” books are on sale now, and can be purchased through the mail or in Placer County Transit’s office in Auburn. The “Step-Up Coupon” books will only be sold to accompany a Placer Commuter Express Monthly Pass. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Placer County Transit. Passes from Capitol Corridor and Roseville Commuter bus, as well as passes and transfers from Sacramento Regional Transit, are accepted on Placer Commuter Express (PCE). PCE monthly passes can be used to board Capitol Corridor trains and Roseville Commuter buses.
