A dog license is required for all dogs in Placer County. If you live in the cities of Auburn, Roseville or Rocklin, a license is still required, however the cities handle their own animal licensing and animal control enforcement. Placer County handles the licensing of the cities of Colfax, Lincoln and Loomis. Contact your city government for licensing details:
